The incident took place around 9:40 a.m., Tuesday, June 27.
According to Lt. Joe Dinho of the Norwalk Police, officers responded to the harbor after receiving a report from a boater of a body floating in the water.
Norwalk Police Marine Unit and Norwalk Fire Marine Unit responded to the location and recovered the dead man.
A preliminary investigation did not reveal signs of obvious injuries and the individual did not have any identification on him, Dinho said.
The Norwalk Police Detective Bureau has assumed the investigation along with the State of Connecticut Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
